Clamp Extension Rod Overview:
The Vivax Metrotech clamp extension rod is a plastic non-conductive rod that has male and female threads at opposite ends. One end screws onto the clamp and allows you to extend the reach of your clamp by 29 inches. Once you’ve attached the signal clamp you can safely use it on overhead lines, lines in trenches, and in manholes.
The end of the rod is fitted with a 10mm threaded male stud. Specifically, this male thread screws into the handle of the signal clamp to extend the distance of the clamp. To access this thread, slide the yellow handle off the rod.
