D23 Sonde Overview:
The D23 Flexible Sonde is a flexible sonde for use with cast iron pipe in order to make the pipe available to locate. The user can propel it through a non-metallic pipe or duct in order to locate the pipe. Once the sonde is in the pipe, the user can locate the sonde on the surface with a sonde locator or utility locator that has sonde mode.
Sondes are also built into other products such as a sewer inspection camera. The D23 Flexible Sonde is specifically designed for use in small diameter pipes or ducts. It uses 512Hz and can work in metallic or non-metallic pipe. It uses 1x AA battery and has an approximate battery life of 20 hours.
