EX-TEC HS 680 Overview:
The EX-TEC HS 680 is the ideal tool for detecting leaks in buried natural gas pipelines. Because it uses a multi-array of sensors, the Ex-Tec 680 has the ability to locate the precise leak location of a natural gas pipeline. Consequently, this allows the user to keep excavation work to a minimum and improve accuracy and efficiency. Products from the EX-TEC HS® family combine ergonomics with cutting edge technology. And thanks to its innovative design this range offers the user the right instrument for each different application. Furthermore, all appliances from the EX-TEC® HS family meet the requirements of DVGW Code of Practice 465-4, the German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water.
The EX-TEC HS 680 comes standard with sensors to measure hydrocarbons CxHy, and carbon dioxide CO2. However, if you fit the 680 with a detector for ethane analysis, it will help distinguish between natural gas and swamp gas.
Additionally, an optional oxygen sensor can also be added to display the oxygen minimum at the same time as the methane maximum. This minimum can be sued to locate complex leaks more precisely.
How it Works:
The EX-TEC HS 680 helps the user clearly detect leaks in underground pipes. To avoid costly and time-consuming excavations, it must be absolutely certain that the gas is actually leaking from a natural gas pipeline. Locating the exact position of the leak also keeps shaft work to a minimum. EX-TEC® HS appliances offer new possibilities in this respect.
The integrated ethane detector easily picks up whether the gas is natural gas or swamp gas. Because of this the user does not need any extra accessories or specialist knowledge.
The EX-TEC HS 680 guides the user through the ethane analysis with prompts.
Standard Kit:
The standard kit comes with a Hand-Held device receiver, Calibration Document, Carrying System, Docking Station, AC/DC Adapter, 12V Car Adapter, Telescopic Bell Probe D80, Localization Probe, 1 meter Probe Hose, and TG8 Carrying Case.
