SePem 155 Overview:

The SePem 155 by Sewerin is a noise logger leak detection system for monitoring water pipe networks in order to reliably identify existing leaks and catch new ones early before there is more significant loss.  In addition to conventional leak detection survey methods, SePem 155 noise logger leak detectors are an effective, permanent monitoring tool for leak detection.  They allow the user to quickly identify leaks that may never reach the surface. Because the SePem 155 is compact, users can place the logger in valve boxes, meter pits, and on unusual contact points. The highly sensitive microphone on this logger enables programmed monitoring of distances up to 1,600 linear feet of pipe between loggers.

How it works:

The SePem system consists of a Master receiver and the SePem 155 data loggers.  Users can create a mobile system by placing the loggers in a section of their network for a period time.  During this time, the loggers will record data which users can analyze.  After the loggers have been in one location for awhile, they can then be moved to another section of the network.  With this method, a smaller number of loggers are able to cover a larger network.

Alternatively, users can have more loggers and place those permanently within the network. In this setup, the loggers permanently record and send signals to the SePem 01 Master. When the Master receives the date indicating a potential leak, the user is able to patrol the network to find them.

Features:

  • Sturdy SePem 155 data loggers have  an IP68 protection rating.  Also, the housing is stainless steel and special plastic designed to withstand extreme weather conditions and resist corrosion.
  • Battery life of many years.
  • Each logger contains a highly sensitive Piezo microphone
  • Reads data easily with bi-directional radio which enables the user to simply drive by the logger to record its data
  • SePem 01 Master displays the Logger transmitter data which contains the width and frequency of the noise. Additional options for verifying the measurement results are available.
  • During the patrol, users can see data containing the plot of the last measurement on the master.  Again, no opening the manhole cover and removing the logger is required.
