VM-480B Transmitter Clamp Overview:
The Vivax Metrotech VM-480B Signal Clamp allows the user to apply the transmitter signal to a pipe or cable. This is useful when it is not possible or convenient to use the direct connection leads. If there is room to place the clamp around the pipe or cable, then this clamp can help make a direct connection. In most cases clamps are designed to be used at frequencies generally between 8kHz and 83.1kHz.
This clamp has a 4 inch diameter. You can see a chart here of a comparison of the different Vivax Metrotech clamp sizes: Transmitter Clamp Chart. There are other options from a 2″ clamp to an 18″ flexible clamp. This clamp is only compatible with the Vivax Metrotech VM-480B Split Box locator due to it’s special end connection.
