VM-850 Transmitter Overview:
Vivax-Metrotech designed the VM-850 Transmitter to send active signals for the location of buried pipes and cables. High impact ABS plastic encases the 2-watt transmitter which operates on a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. It also has one external 3-pin connection socket and comes with 1 set of direct connection leads and 1 ground stake. This transmitter is sold separately as a replacement for the transmitter that is included in the full Vivax Metrotech 850 line locator kit.
The VM-850 transmitter is designed to have a lightweight, ergonomic profile. In fact, it weighs just 4.1 pounds and includes a carrying strap. This allows the user to carry the unit easily during locates. A fully charged lithium-ion battery will typically last 40 hours with intermittent use. Model Number: VX216-02

Additionally, you can buy an optional Transmitter Induction Clamp for use together with the VM-850 transmitter which can put the signal directly onto a cable. It is compatible with the 2″, 4″, and 5″ Transmitter Clamps.
